
THE EVENT
Scraps Rescued Food Cook-Off will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Rhinegeist Brewery, 1910 Elm St, Cincinnati, OH 45202 from 2pm – 6pm. This is a fundraising event, benefiting Our Daily Bread.
Main Event: Featuring top local chefs, cooking in the style of Our Daily Bread, transforming rescued food into by-the-bite creations. Each chef will receive mystery ingredients 48 hours in advance from a participating food sponsor and throw down to create a unique dish. Bites will be paired with beers provided by Rhinegeist and judged by event guests and celebrity judges. Chef’s prepare the food BEFORE the event.
The mystery ingredients to be given to each chef will be donated by a local food vendor for the expressed purpose of this event. Each chef will receive their ingredients on Friday February 28th 2020.
CHEF OBLIGATION
Food: 300 prepared appetizer-sized servings using the mystery ingredients
Programmatic Components: Attendance and full participation on March 1, 2020, arriving no later than 1PM, leaving no earlier than 6PM – unless the event wraps up early.
Notification: notification of any changes in employment status at representing restaurant
Marketing: Chef Bio, headshot and representing restaurant logo for use in all marketing materials
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Provisions Provided:
Parking Pass during event
Chef serving area including 2 8 foot tables at Rhinegeist Brewery
Apron, T-shirt, Pizza, beer tokens for Chef and assistants on the day of the event
Equipment & Supplies:
Tablecloth, serving equipment, napkins, disposable cutlery, disposable serving plates, chafing dishes, sterno fuel, hand sanitizer, garbage bags, gloves.
Programmatic Components:
Assistance with setup/load-in/clean-up/load-out
