Our Daily Bread guests live well below the federal poverty levels, with 70% identifying as homeless. As such, we meet many people who have needs beyond what a hot meal can fix.
SUPPORT AND CONNECTION
Our social worker helps guests work toward a more secure existence, assisting them with navigating the social service system for support with vital needs such as shelter, food, clothing, job readiness training, mental and physical healthcare, and case management.
When possible, we provide connections to rent and utility assistance to help people remain in housing. We also facilitate guests acquiring what they need in order to find and maintain employment, like birth certificates, state IDs, bus fare, background checks, or uniforms.

Additionally, we are proud to bring other resources to our dining room by inviting outside agencies to set up a table and offer their services on a weekly schedule.
These organizations provide guests with harm reduction supplies and hygiene items; connect guests with recovery services, peer support, and drug treatment centers; help guests apply for Medicaid and SNAP benefits, and more.
We are glad to work with others who care about the wellbeing of Our Daily Bread guests and want to provide them with support and assistance.
