The site of a deadly shooting on January 9, 2017, Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen & Social Center reopened January 16th, on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, as a visible reminder that VIOLENCE DOES NOT STOP LOVE!
In order to restore stability, we instituted visible security measures designed to prevent future violence and ensure those who seeks us feel safe while in our building. While this was an unprecedented and isolated domestic violence incident, the need for increased security procedures was evident.
In continuous operation since 1985, Our Daily Bread is Cincinnati’s largest soup kitchen, serving between 400-500 meals per day, Monday – Friday. We are committed to continuing to serve the community by feeding people, providing a safe gathering space, essential social services and an after school kids club program.
Be part of the solution; help support hunger and poverty relief in our community by donating today.
